The ideal zipper for heavy requirements with delicate look & less weight stronger than #5 zipper but identical in looks.
Just slightly wider than #5 zipper, but very effective.
The standard width & thickness is 6.3mm x 2.7mm
The #7 coil zipper is used in Coats, Leather & Textile jackets, Sleeping bags, leather garments, wet suits, Awnings & Tests.
The most significant use of #7 zipper is shoes. Popularly #7 zipper is called as the shoes zipper.
#7 standard cross-wise strength Tests.
#7 Brass: 100 kgs +
#7 Aluminum: 60 kgs +
#7 Nickle silver: 110 Kgs +
#7 zippers face standard complaints in shoe zippers if the stitching is inappropriate generally, #7 zippers do not face complaints at all.
#7 coil zippers require very strong sliders for longer lasting in shoe zippers.
The B.S. 3084:2006 recommends that in coil which has to be used in specification A, B, C, D & E to have lateral cross-wise strength of 15, 20, 25, 37 & 47 kgs respectively. 3K satisfies this comfortably.
