In coil zippers these sliders were very widely used in bottom wear & other applications till the advent of spring lock slider.
The Pin Lock sliders are not in common & frequent use in the market as of now.
Pin Lock sliders are of 2 types: – Regular Pin Lock (RPL) or Die Cast Pin Lock (DCCPL).
Obviously RPL is stronger than DCPL. This is because RPL is made of sheet metal and DCPL is made of casted Mazak alloy.
Pin Lock sliders are used in children wear as a substitute to auto Lock & also used at many pleases in luggage, tents, purses etc.
Failure in YG slider can be due to snap coil brass being used or else it can be die cast body &  puller being used or else due to making a cheaper & lighter quality such robust is the design of the YG slider, that it is practically failure proof.
